Cancer Diary: My updated MRI results

I got my MRI results today, and the good news is I’m done chemo.

The bad news is the chemo did not work.

So that’s fun.

Can’t say I didn’t see it coming.

But instead, I’m now going to need to have radiation.

And before I have radiation, I need to have surgery to prepare me for radiation.

And then it’s going to be radiation five times a week for five weeks to hopefully shrink the tumors enough for surgery to remove my rectum.

I’m just trying to compartmentalize this because I’m currently trying to be a normal human, and I am on my way to a work dinner.

And it’s like this week is the first time I’ve been able to be human again.

So, I’m just going to pretend that I didn’t hear this news and cry into my salad.

So, yeah, that’s the update.
