Cancer Diary: I’m going to cut it off

I was hoping this wouldn’t happen to me.

I’ve decided that I’m going to cut it off.

I’m not happy about this decision, but it’s a decision that has to be made.

No idea what I’m actually going to do.

I guess you guys can be the judge of that.

I made an appointment with my hairdresser to cut off a lot of my hair.

I am losing a lot more hair than I expected. Hair loss is obviously very common with chemo, but I was told that my chemo protocol just gives hair thinning. I wouldn’t lose it all.

I don’t know if you can tell, but it’s much thinner than it used to be, and it is all over the place.

I am cutting it short to alleviate the weight of the hair on my head. I really don’t know what haircut would look good on me.

I haven’t had short hair since I was a kid. Not doing that again.

If you have style recommendations for me on this little face, comment below, send pictures.

It’s going to be short, and I’m going to have to say goodbye to all of this.

It took a long time for me to grow my hair this long. And I know that’s a silly thing to be sad about.

I know it seems so silly with everything going on in the world.

This is something that really upsets me. Yeah, I just wish I didn’t have to go through this part of my cancer journey. Hopefully my hair stylist will know what to do to make it look good.
