27 Dec We’re Partnering With The Mighty!

A few months back, I had the best day of my life and married my best friend. Some of you may even remember the blog post I wrote about it and that the same blog post appeared on The Mighty! I was so honoured that they took my story and helped us spread ostomy awareness a little bit farther.

After some discussion with the team over there, we at Uncover Ostomy decided that it would help our mission of spreading ostomy awareness around the globe by partnering with a publication who believes in the same values as we do.

That is why I am so happy to announce a new partnership that will bring our resources in front of The Mighty‘s wide-reaching readership. We will now have a growing home page on The Mighty and will appear on many stories on the site!

For those of you who don’t know, The Mighty is a story-based health community focused on improving the lives of people facing disease, disorder, mental illness, and disability. They want more than information and they want to be inspired. The Mighty publishes real stories about real people facing real challenges., just like we do here! With this partnership, we’ll be able to help even more people.

So, what does this mean for UO? Well, not only will our banner appear on many related stories on The Mighty (which will bring them back to our site), but we will also be sharing stories of others dealing with Crohn’s, Colitis, Cancer, and any other situation relevant to the ostomy that has been published on their platform, as well. Together, we will continue to spread awareness for our community.

After all, that’s what we’re here for! Great things ahead in 2017, and I couldn’t be more excited.
